Départ de Feu is a game I made in collaboration with Alexis Chrétien, Raphaël Berg and Abdelkader Cheab (their link are down this description) during the Game Pratic' 2020, wich is an event organized by the association Sud Piccel (who also organize Game Jam in Montpellier). The principle of this event is to make a Game in 48h on a common theme, announced on the beggining of the event to all the participants.
In our case, the theme was "the jobs in Occitania", and we could choose between 4 differents environment, and so we chose the mine, and got the job of pushers (défourneurs).
I assigned myself as the Background and asset designer, and as the Menu/Ui designer aswell, and it was pretty challenging to do the backgrounds this time, since I'm almost always the Props/Character artist in the group. But it was a really great experience that made me improve my skills in environment concept art, and made me discover that it is hard to achieve something great, but it also begun for me the realisation that it is something I love to do, more than anything in art.
